Hide the Calendar to Gain More Display Space

Not everyone uses the calendar — and that's okay. With this update, users who don't need calendar events on their wrist can now turn off the calendar view entirely and reclaim that screen space for other data.

The Idea

KairosEye was originally built around calendar integration. But since launch, we've heard from a significant number of users who love the watchface for its weather display, its clean layout, or its data density — and don't use the calendar at all. For those users, the calendar section was wasted space. So we made it optional.

What Changes When You Disable It

When you turn off the calendar in the settings, the space it occupied is redistributed to the remaining elements:

  • Weather data gets more room — larger temperature display, more detailed conditions
  • Activity metrics — steps, heart rate, battery — can be displayed more prominently
  • The overall layout breathes more, with better spacing and readability It's not just hiding the calendar — it's a genuine layout reflow. The watchface adapts to use every available pixel, whether you're showing three calendars or none.

Who Is This For?

Plenty of use cases:

  • Outdoor athletes who care about weather and heart rate but don't have a packed meeting schedule
  • Weekend mode — turn off the calendar on Saturday, turn it back on Monday
  • Users with simple routines who know their schedule by heart and prefer a cleaner display
  • People who just want a great-looking watchface with weather, without the calendar overhead The setting is a simple toggle. No reinstall, no reconfiguration — just flip it and the watchface adapts instantly.

A Watchface That Adapts to You

This is part of a broader philosophy: KairosEye should fit your life, not the other way around. Some people want every calendar event visible at all times. Others want a minimal, data-focused display. Both are valid, and now both are supported. We'll keep adding customization options based on what you tell us matters most. As always, your feedback drives what we build next.
