This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and browser storage technologies KairosEye uses on this website and why.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide a better experience.
This policy covers both HTTP cookies and browser storage technologies (sessionStorage) used on kairoseye.com.
2. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
| Cookie | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
kairos_session | 30 days | Manages your authenticated session after signing in with Google OAuth. This cookie is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Strict — it cannot be accessed by JavaScript and is only sent over HTTPS. |
Legal basis: Legitimate interest and contract performance. These cookies are essential to provide the service you have requested.
3. Browser Storage (sessionStorage)
In addition to cookies, we use browser storage APIs to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
| Type | Key | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
sessionStorage | oauth_state | Current tab only | Stores a random CSRF token during the Google OAuth sign-in flow to prevent cross-site request forgery. Removed immediately after the OAuth callback completes. |
4. No Third-Party Tracking Cookies
We do not use any third-party cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
- No Google Analytics
- No Facebook Pixel or social media trackers
- No advertising networks
- No cross-site tracking
The only third-party service that may interact with your browser is Cloudflare, which provides CDN, DDoS protection, and SSL/TLS for our infrastructure. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP address, browser headers) as part of this service. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for details.
5. Managing Your Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Note that deleting the kairos_session cookie will sign you out of your account. Deleting kairoseye_cookie_consent will cause the cookie notice to reappear on your next visit.
Browser storage (sessionStorage) can be cleared from your browser's developer tools under the Application or Storage tab.
