Round models support

KairosEye now works on round-display Garmin watches — same features, same data density, fully adapted to circular screens.

Why This Was Harder Than It Sounds

A rectangular screen is forgiving. You lay out your elements in rows and columns, and everything fits. A round screen has corners that don't exist — literally. The usable area shrinks as you move toward the edges, and elements that looked perfectly balanced on a rectangle suddenly feel cramped or awkwardly positioned on a circle. We had to rethink the layout from scratch for round displays. The calendar, weather data, timeline, and status indicators all needed new positions, new sizing, and new spacing rules that respect the curved boundaries while keeping everything readable.

What's Included

This isn't a stripped-down version. Round-display users get everything:

  • Full calendar view — events are displayed with the same visual indicators and timeline as rectangular models
  • Weather data — temperature, conditions, and forecast adapted to the circular layout
  • Activity metrics — steps, heart rate, battery, all repositioned for the round form factor
  • Timeline view — the 24-hour timeline wraps naturally around the display Every feature that works on a rectangular watch works on a round one. No compromises, no missing elements.

Compatible Models

This update targets Garmin watches with round displays, including the Venu series, Vivoactive, and other models with circular screens. If your watch runs Connect IQ and has a round display, KairosEye should work on it. Check the Garmin Connect IQ Store for the full list of compatible devices.

One Codebase, Multiple Layouts

Under the hood, KairosEye uses a single codebase with layout rules that adapt to the screen geometry. This means round and rectangular users get updates at the same time — no waiting for a "round version" to catch up. A bug fix or new feature ships to everyone simultaneously.

Try It Today

If you've been waiting for round-display support, it's here. Install or update KairosEye, and the watchface will automatically detect your screen shape and apply the right layout. KairosEye on a round Garmin smartwatch display — The KairosEye Team
